Seven Hair Studio

A one-page site for a boutique salon in Long Beach. Working together since 2011, moved off WordPress in 2022, and kept current ever since.

The salon

Seven Hair Studio is a boutique hair salon on 4th Street in Long Beach, California, near Retro Row. It’s a certified green business that uses sustainable, cruelty-free products.

What I built

One page with what a new client wants to know before they call:

  • Services and prices, laid out like a salon menu.
  • Each stylist, with a photo, their Instagram, and a phone number you can tap to call. Clients book directly with their stylist, so the site gets them to the right person.
  • The product lines the salon carries, its address, and links to Instagram, Facebook, and Yelp.
  • Business details marked up for search engines, so they can read the salon’s name, address, and links.

Simpler, on purpose

The salon and I have worked together since 2011. In 2022 I moved the site off WordPress and onto a simple static site. A one-page salon site doesn’t need a login, plugins, or a database, and dropping them left far less to update and far less that could break.

In late 2025 I rebuilt it on Astro and moved its hosting to Cloudflare.

Kept current

Prices change, stylists join, and the page follows. Security updates are handled in the background. It’s the arrangement a small business usually wants: the salon sends the change, and the website stays off their plate.
